Welcome to Manchukuo Propaganda Posters and Bills

This database contains digitized images of posters and propaganda bills about pre-war Manchuria and Manchukuo from around 1906, when the Southern Manchuria Railroad Company was established, up to the end of World War II. Visual images of pre-war Manchuria (or Manchukuo) have caught the attention of scholars in various fields such as History, Sociology, Political Science, Urban Engineering, and Cultural Studies. Hence, we believe that this database can make great contribution to international academic community.

We look forward to receiving contacts from the following people:
1. Those who have posters, propaganda bills and pictures that are related to pre-war Manchuria and Manchukuo.
2. Those who have experiences of having participated in intelligence activity, propaganda activity or pacification work in Manchukuo.
3. Those who have seen posters and propaganda bills in pre-war Manchuria.
4. Those who designed posters in pre-war Manchuria (or Manchukuo).
5. Also, those who printed such posters or transported them.
